Chartered Civil and Environmental Engineer who has been engaged
for several decades in consulting, designing and advising on
all aspects of the water cycle and water related assets. Awarded
the biennial International Water Association prize for Research
Excellence in Support of Sustainable Urban Water Management in
September 2008. His clients have included all the English water
companies, the main agencies involved in water and flood risk
management, the Scottish Government, Welsh Assembly, and specialist
advice to The House of Lords, UK Government and the Cabinet Office. |

part-time Professor at the University of Sheffield, researcher
at University of Bradford and researcher in the Flood Resilience
Group at UNESCO IHE in Delft, the Netherlands. Also visiting
professor at the Technical University of Delft, Monash University,
Australia and Luleä University in Sweden. Providing specialist
advice on climate change in Seattle USA and to the Australian
Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. He has more
than 300 publications in books, journals and at conferences as
well as many technical reports. |
